Arlen Ness was the world's foremost motorcycle customizer. He has done more for the business of customizing motorcycles than any other person or company in existence. Starting out of his garage in the 1960's with money he earned as a semi-professional bowler, Arlen bought his first Harley. Armed with no more than a spray gun and a dream, he created his first chopper. That chopper launched a customizing career that in turn helped launch an entire industry. The Clear Tear air cleaner series brings the timeless tear drop shape to a new level. Its smooth flowing cage like design is forged and features a domed shaped polycarbonate window that allows you to view the internal workings of your intake system while adding performance.

Forged Billet Aluminum Backing Plate
  • CNC machined from forged billet aluminum
  • Features Patented next generation hidden breather technology. Each hidden breather is o-ringed at the heads, passes through the backing plate and exits inside the mouth of the throttle body through proprietary shooter tubes. This eliminates the need for any external hoses or hardware for a virtually closed loop system.
  • Radius air inlet for unobstructed airflow
  • Specially designed breather bolts are hidden under billet covers for a clean look
  • Eliminates oil blow-bye issues associated with M8 engines by directing any excess breather oil back into the engine
  • Patented Oil Catch / Reservoir. To ensure no oil saturates the filter and restricts your airflow, the integrated oil catch collects any excess engine oil before it reaches the air filter. Bolt-on design allows oil catch to be serviced when you service the filter element.
