Hey there, fellow Jeep enthusiast! If you're looking to take your Jeep Wrangler JL to the next level, check out the Overland Plus Short Arm Suspension Lift Kit. You can choose from 1.5 Inch, 2.5 Inch, or 3.5 Inch lift heights to get just the right stance for your ride.
This kit is all about striking that sweet balance between a smooth on-road experience and rugged off-road capability. It comes with 8 adjustable control arms that feature GIIRO Joint bushings, which really help with comfort and articulation. So whether you're cruising down the highway or tackling some rough trails, this setup keeps things quiet and stable.
Why go for this kit? Well, the GIIRO joints do a fantastic job of isolating road noise and vibrations, which means you can enjoy your drive without all that annoying chatter. Plus, these joints are self-lubricating and maintenance-free, so you can say goodbye to the grease gun! It’s built for folks who want top-notch performance both on and off the beaten path without sacrificing comfort.
What’s in the box? You get:
- 8 Fully Adjustable Control Arms with dual-durometer GIIRO bushings.
- Premium Adjustable Front and Rear Track Bars made from tough 1 3/8 Inch x 5/16 Inch DOM tubing for extra strength.
- Adjustable Front and Rear Sway Bar Links to enhance articulation and handling.
- Coil Springs that are powder-coated with a SealKor zinc-rich finish to fend off rust and corrosion.
Fitment Notes: Here’s the scoop on tire sizes:
- 1.5 Inch Lift: Fits 35 Inch tires on a Rubicon.
- 2.5 Inch Lift: Perfect for 37 Inch tires on a Rubicon.
- 3.5 Inch Lift: Can handle 39 Inch tires on a Rubicon.
Now, if you’re rolling with a 392 model, keep in mind that the XR versions come with a factory 1.5 Inch lift, while standard models have a 2 Inch lift. Here’s how the lift height breaks down:
- 1.5 Inch Lift: Nets about 0.5 Inch on an XR, and no net gain on a standard 392.
- 2.5 Inch Lift: Gives you roughly 1.5 Inch on an XR and 1 Inch on a standard 392.
- 3.5 Inch Lift: Delivers around 2.5 Inch on an XR and 2 Inch on a standard 392.
If you’re hauling a lot of gear (over 300 lbs), consider snagging the optional HD Rear Coil Springs. They can handle about 500-600 lbs of extra weight before your Jeep starts to sag.
Just a heads-up: the height gained can vary based on your vehicle’s weight and any aftermarket accessories you might have, so think of these fitment notes as guidelines rather than hard and fast rules.
Made right here in the USA and backed by a Lifetime Warranty, this kit gives you everything you need for a comfy ride on the pavement and serious capability off-road.
So why wait? Upgrade your Jeep today and enjoy the best of both worlds!

Clayton Offroad has been setting the standard for long-arm suspension kits since 2001. In November of 2002, the brand became the first suspension manufacturer to offer long-arm suspensions for all four of the major Jeep models: the TJ, XJ, WJ, and ZJ.
Clayton Offroad wasn’t established on a business plan, but rather started out as a hobby with a solid business philosophy that prospered. The company is dedicated to providing its customers with the highest quality and most durable products available on the market with great attention to customer service. At Clayton Offroad, they aren’t just working on manufacturing Jeep parts, they are also competing at local competitions, riding on the trails with local clubs, and out 4-wheeling with their buddies.
Born from a Personal RealizationThe co-owner and founder of Clayton Offroad, Clayton Walters, began operations in a one-car garage. He started out designing and manufacturing rocker panels and bumpers for his own Jeep ZJ. In 2001, after daily driving a ZJ with a 6-inch lift and short-arm suspension for a year, he realized the need for a new suspension system to make his car a pleasure to drive again. In June of that year, Clayton Offroad Manufacturing, LLC was born and debuted its ZJ long-arm suspension at the Grand Slam East event in Gore, Virginia. The suspension proved to be a huge success after being driven over 400 miles to try its luck at the toughest trails at the event. Later that year, Clayton Offroad was producing ZJ long-arm kits in full swing, followed by the release of the XJ kit, WJ kit, and eventually a TJ kit.
In 2007, with the new Jeep JK hitting the market, Clayton Offroad began assessing what type of lift was needed for the model. Taking the design improvements on the JK into consideration, the brand came up with a standard length-based control-arm suspension.
Products Tested to the LimitsClayton Offroad is more than just a suspension manufacturer; it also produces transfer cases, gears, lockers, driveshafts, and complete custom axle assemblies born from its drivetrain expertise. All of the product designs and developments are rigorously tested in real-world situations to guarantee safety, proper functionality, and durability. Throughout the years, Clayton’s products have been abused and tested in professional rock crawling competitions all across the U.S. The brand takes pride in using only the latest technology, including CNC press brakes, millers, turning centers, and laser cutters to offer quality, close tolerance parts for your Jeep.
