Oil filter heat shield can drop oil temperatures and extend oil life. Oil filters are often located in close proximity to hot headers in an area of the vehicle that doesn't get much air movement. Our Lava Oil Filter Shield can help you avoid cooking the oil filter and the oil running through it while protecting the filter from on and off-road debris and hazards.

Lava Oil Filter Shield protects the oil filter from ambient heat and road debris by encasing the oil filter in the proprietary Lava Shield volcanic rock fiber-based thermal barrier material. The specially designed cover slides over the filter snugly and is held in place by magnets so it won't slip off, which also allows it to be removed when necessary. The magnets are effective at trapping metal debris inside the oil filter, further improving the filtration and offering your engine more protection. The Lava Oil Filter Shield can withstand constant temps of 1,200-degrees Fahrenheit and intermittent temps up to 2,000-degrees. It is oil, solvent and water resistant.

High heat generated by the exhaust system can saturate the oil filter, which adversely affects the temperature of the oil running through the filter, as well as the filter internals. In addition, the usual mounting location of the oil filter exposes it to road debris that gets kicked up under the vehicle and can potentially puncture the filter, cause oil loss and engine failure. Lava Oil Filter Shield protects the oil filter from heat and road debris.

If during this time period these products fail prematurely due to a manufacturing defect they will be replaced without charge upon their return to Heatshield Products, Inc. accompanied with a legible copy of an original proof of purchase and complete description of the problem. Customer is responsible for any freight charges on alleged defective products to Heatshield Products, Inc.; approved warranty replacement products will in turn be shipped without freight charge to customer.

Heatshield Products, Inc. is not responsible for any miss application and or misuse of products. This warranty is null and void if the products have been misused, misapplied or are not a correct application in accordance to the products advertised thermal parameters or if they have been damaged from malfunctioning other components of the vehicle or other damage caused by external factors.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT INCLUDE LABOR OR COVER THE COST OF ANY ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS AND LABOR TO REPLACE THESE COMPONENTS.

The foregoing states Heatshield Products, Inc.’s’ entire and exclusive liability for any claim, including claims arising out of a breach of any implied warranties, in connection with the sale of the thermal insulation materials hereunder, and shall in no event be liable for any special or consequential damages what so ever.

Heatshield Products, Inc. shall not be liable for any and all consequential damages occasioned by the breach of any written or implied warranty pertaining to this sale in excess of the purchase price of the product sold.
