Performance

Forget about "off the shelf" components; every part of the 2Banger is proprietary. We utilized LucidShape to optimize performance around the latest, lumen-dense Osram LEDs. Thermal dynamics were fine-tuned using SolidWorks. With two performance tiers’white or yellow output’and four distinct beam patterns (Wide/Fog, Spot, Combo, and Flood), there’s a 2Banger to meet every performance need and driving style.

Versatility

The 2Banger can be mounted individually or linked together to create a powerful light bar. Each set of pods includes universal pedestal mounts for easy installation on any flat surface, like your steel bumper, or you can opt for our application-specific A-Pillar brackets. The BangerBar links provide a straightforward way to connect your Bangers into a custom light bar, allowing you to choose the light color, beam optics, and radius. Get ready to light up the night!

HXB Spot Beam

The HXB Spot beam illuminates further than anything else in its class. Equipped with the most powerful Osram LEDs, combined with advanced optics, this beam pattern can reach up to 700 meters ahead. With the 2Banger HXB Spots, you’ll find it hard to outrun your visibility.

All Weather

If you’re looking for all-around visibility, the white-output version is perfect. For those tricky conditions like rain, snow, or fog, the Yellow-output version shines through. We’ve chosen Phosphor-converted Yellow LEDs that produce yellow light at the source, effectively cutting through particles in the air without sacrificing brightness. Unlike filtering white light through a yellow lens, this method delivers real performance benefits in poor weather.

Reliability

With great power comes great responsibility, and we’ve put in the work to ensure reliability. The high power means high heat, which is why the 2Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB that optimizes heat transfer to the radiator, backed by extensive thermal analysis. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated before powder coating to prevent flaking. Our gasket system, integrated DT power connection, and breather valves all meet IP69K standards for complete weather resistance.

Street Legality

When aimed correctly, the Spot and Combo beam patterns comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams. If you’re in the market for a high-performance street-legal LED pod to serve as a fog light, the 2Banger wide beam model has been verified compliant with the latest SAE-F regulation for on-road use by Calcoast Labs in California.

Power Up

The Morimoto 2Banger LED Pods have been created from the ground up to set a new benchmark in their category, and the optional wire harness follows suit. If you want the best, you’ve found it. Every component of the harness has been meticulously crafted without cutting corners for cost or simplicity. It features a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay with a hanger, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push button switch with a yellow LED backlight.
