RacingLine's replacement 'Cup Edition' Lower Engine Mount and Dogbone link is an essential upgrade for any hard-driven or high-powered MQB or MQB Evo car with Aluminum subframe. This Lower Engine mount is a complete re-engineered full replacement, not just a simple push-in insert. Race-proven to stand up to the harshest punishment.
Get your power to the road or track where you need it with the RacingLine Lower Engine Mount. This MQB and MQB Evo-platform Lower Engine Mount upgrade includes a billet aluminum Torque Link, as the factory pressed steel part lacks the stiffness needed. This mount is for the new MQB Evo cars plus the earlier MQB cars with aluminum front subframe - covering popular vehicles such as Golf mk8 GTI & R, Audi S3 8V & 8Y, Audi TT 8S and others with the alloy subframe. RacingLine offer a different version for steel subframe models. This RacingLine Lower Engine Mount is a CNC-machined, fully engineered replacement designed to greatly decrease engine and transmission movement, together with a billet aluminium Torque Link, ensuring clean transfer of power to the track. The risk of wheel-hop under hard acceleration is almost eliminated as the whole engine and 'box assembly is firmly prevented from juddering when wheelspin occurs and through aggressive gearchanges, particularly on front wheel drive cars. This adds strength to the drivetrain, helping to protect from future wear and breakages. Rather than 'push in' bushes which fill the voids in the original factory mounts, this RacingLine mount is a completely redesigned replacement mount assembly and torque link. As well as this Lower Mount, which is ideal for track and fast road use, RacingLine also offer the upper Engine and Transmissions mounts to make a full set of 3 Drivetrain Mounts for track/dragstrip/very high power cars. Make no mistake, these uprated engine mounts are a relatively extreme modification to make to your car. Naturally, more noise from the drivetrain comes into the cabin when the Lower Engine Mount is fitted, but most keen drivers love the sense that they are more 'connected' to their car, and the gentle 'growl' that the mount conveys. Allow a few hundred miles/kms of driving for the mount to settle in after installation.
