Fuel Starvation Protection

The GT-R's saddle bag-style fuel tank traditionally relies on two OEM venturi jet pumps to draw fuel from both sides of the tank. However, when you upgrade your fuel pumps, these jet pumps can create a bottleneck, leading to inconsistent fuel pressure. Radium Engineering has tackled this issue by reconfiguring the plumbing of the venturi jet pumps, ensuring they still function effectively without hindering the return fuel from the regulator. This means you can upgrade your pumps without worrying about fuel pressure drops.

Installation Notes

• Depending on fuel pressure, the venturi jet pumps will consume between 15-45 LPH. Keep this in mind when sizing your fuel pumps.
• If maintaining steady fuel pressure after the engine shuts down is crucial, consider installing a check valve in the fuel system.

The Radium Engineering system also features a 355LPH one-way fill valve at the bottom of the collector box, ensuring that fuel flows in but doesn’t flow back out. All these components work together to keep the collector box full and prevent any fuel pump starvation.

Plumbing Made Easy

The kit includes low-profile swiveling adapters that convert to 6AN male, along with short PTFE hoses and adapters, making it easy to connect to the OEM fuel piping without any hassle. If you need additional adapter fittings, they are available separately.

Filtration Requirements

Each fuel pump inlet is equipped with sock filters. Since the Radium hanger replaces the non-serviceable post-pump filter, you'll need to install an aftermarket filter downstream for optimal performance.

Pump Compatibility

Traditional Brushed Fuel Pumps

• Radium offers this fuel pump hanger system pre-assembled with dual or triple AEM 50-1200 or Walbro GSS342 (255lph) pumps.
• You can also choose the "no pumps included" option, which allows you to provide your own pumps and complete the assembly yourself.
• Other pump brands can be used as long as they match the fitment, form factor, and electrical connection of the Walbro/AEM pumps mentioned.

Note: The larger Walbro E85 pumps (F90000267/274/285/295) are not compatible with this product.

Brushless Fuel Pump Systems

If your vehicle demands high fuel flow, consider a brushless fuel pump system. The Radium in-tank hanger is compatible with up to three Ti Automotive E5LM brushless fuel pumps.

Configuration Options

When selecting the "Pumps Included" option, the kit arrives partially assembled, making installation straightforward. If you choose "Pumps Not Included," you’ll receive enough components to run up to three fuel pumps, with the assembly completed during installation. The brushless pump version includes check valves to prevent back-flow between pumps.

This fuel hanger feed kit is designed for left-hand drive (LHD) vehicles only. If you're upgrading to high-flow aftermarket pumps, keep in mind that the stock R35 fuel lines may not suffice. The feed kits include everything needed to connect the Radium fuel hangers directly to Radium fuel rails, featuring new PTFE feed lines while reusing the factory feed line as the return for the regulator.
