Construction and Materials
The YSPBJ-012HDK1 features a housing made from CNC-machined forged SAE 1045 carbon alloy steel, providing exceptional strength and longevity. The ball stud is constructed from hot-forged, induction heat-treated 4140 chromoly, ensuring it withstands the rigors of off-road use and heavy loads.
Advanced Sealing and Protection
To protect against contaminants, this kit utilizes a dual-seal system. The outer boot is crafted from synthetic Neoprene/CR rubber, while the inner seal, also known as the pancake boot, adds an extra layer of defense against dirt, oil, and extreme temperatures. This design enhances the durability of the ball joint and helps maintain performance over time.
Installation and Compatibility
This ball joint kit replaces both the upper and lower front ball joints on one side of your vehicle. Included in the kit are Grade 8 hardware, castle nuts, c-clips, cotter pins, and zerk fittings for easy lubrication. The greaseable, pre-threaded zerk housing simplifies maintenance, allowing for quick greasing to extend the life of the joints.

At Yukon's discretion, this warranty may be voided if installation of Yukon product(s) occurs on vehicles with tires that exceed Yukon Maximum Recommended Tire Size.

- Length:As long as original purchaser owns vehicle in which Spool is originally installed
- Notes:It is normal for Spools to cause tire chatter, squeal, or scrubbing when vehicle is not moving in a straight line. Both rear tires must measure the same height from ground to top of wheel for Spool to function properly without premature wear.
- Length:As long as original purchaser owns vehicle in which Super Joint is originally installed
- Notes:Warranty coverage is for breakage of cross section or caps only. Failure by wear or galling is not covered.
- Length:One (1) Year
- Notes:Covers parts for one year against manufacturers defects.
- Length:Ten (10) Years
- Notes:Covers parts for ten years against manufacturing defects.

Limited slip additive or appropriate friction modifier must be used with oil to reduce Positraction chatter.

- Notes:All Zip Lockers come with a six (6) year warranty against manufacturer defect, including any collaterally damaged parts and associated labor, up to $2,000*, for the first two (2) years. Collaterally damaged parts must be submitted for inspection. Receipts for parts and associated labor must be submitted as well. Only claims deemed reasonable by Yukon Gear & Axle will be accepted. Offer may be discontinued without advance notice.
